Few days back in China, Samsung Mobile Head DJ Koh was revealing a new technology they have developed for their upcoming mobile phones including Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy A series. DJ Koh said they could use under-display optical fingerprint scanner on 2016 but they ditched the idea because optical fingerprint scanner can cause bad user experience, otherwise they cloud adopt it two years ago.

Ultrasonic Fingerprint scanning Technology

The reason is this “Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner” why Galaxy S10 been in trading topic. In the past apple has patented for Ultrasonic Fingerprint but they uses 3D Face Unlocking, it seems Samsung is going to win the race. DJ Koh said, the all new fingerprint scanner will work on whole screen, it should work on dirty display or dirty fingers, this should be fast and more secure than typical in-display optical fingerprint scanner. No information whether it’s going to feature on Galaxy Note 9 or not but Note 9 likely miss this feature.

The upcoming Galaxy S10 is said to be launched in three different screen size variant, one 5.8-inch Galaxy S10, 6.1-inch Galaxy S10, and 6.4-inch Galaxy S10. However, the higher screen size variants are going to feature Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner.
